Bowls SA Coaches’ Courses: Level 1- Overview

Level 1 – (Online theory (approx. 10 hours + 1 day practical + 10 hours of mentored, new player coaching)

Candidate Target -  Level A Coaches, Club Members

Coaching Target -  New Players

Coaching Domain - Foundational

Goals -

1. Develop required competencies to coach a new player (technical, physical, psychological).
2. Basic personal coach-skills development.

The Level 1 Coach needs to be able to coach a new player to be competent to play Tabs-In (social) games in terms of their:

1.  Delivery Routine (technical & psychological skills)
2.  How to practice effectively (technical, psychological & physical skills)
3.  Understanding of basic laws, etiquette, and how a game works
